George Lopeze was born in 1961 in Mission Hill, California. He was abandoned by his father when he was two months old. He then went to live with his mother until he was ten years old, after that he went to live with his grandparents. He uses his bad childhood experiences as standup routines. George lopez thought of standup comedy as his only future after high school. He did comedy at clubs for almost two decades. Since then he landed a few roles in small mavies like Ski Patrol (1989) and fatal instinct (1993). He finally landed a role in the movie Bread and roses (2000), which was a drama about Hispanic-American janitors. The critics loved him and his abilty to act. He then stared in his own telivision show in 2002 about a person who worked in an airplane parts factory. The movie maintianed high ratings into the sixth season. He also stared in his own show on Nick at Night called George Lopez, which went off the air in 2007. George Lopez returned to television in 2009 to host a late night Tbs talk show called Lopez Tonight. The career move proved once again abot how groundbreaking an entertainer he continues to be.
